UPPER THIGH LIFT
Frequently asked questions
Type of treatment
The sagging of upper thigh skin is possible through the aging process or with a major weight loss and often the inner part of the thigh is affected. Theresulting large skin folds not only interfere with the body’s silhouette, but can also rub together with walking and cause skin irritation. We will alleviate you of these worries and help you achieve a better sense of self-esteem.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN UPPER THIGH LIFT SURGERY?
If there is considerable sagging, the skin can be tightened. The excess sagging skin and fat deposits, particularly on the inner part of the upper thigh, are removed. This requires a cut in the groin area, depending on whether the inner part of the thigh is to be operated on. With an upper thigh lift, the original contours of the upper thigh are restored.
WHERE DOES AN UPPER THIGH LIFT OPERATION TAKE PLACE?
Upper thigh lift surgery is done on an out-patient or in-patient basis, depending on what is indicated, and is performed by our specialists in plastic and cosmetic surgery in our ultra modern clinic. It can be done under local anaesthesia, or so-called tumescent local anaesthesia, in cases where only a small amount of tightening is needed.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE AWARE OF AFTER THE PROCEDURE?
After the operation, the patient receives a special compression garment, which should be worn for six weeks. In order to achieve optimal results, physical rest is required for four weeks. After this time, light physical activity can be resumed. In order to prevent jeopardising the incision sites, sports should be avoided for at least six weeks.
