UPPER EYELID LIFT
Frequently asked questions
Type of treatment
Eyelids that hang down, or drooping eyelids, can be caused by genetics as well as by sagging musculature and reduced resilience of the skin tissue. Drooping eyelids are caused, in part, by sun, stress, alcohol and certain medications.
Anupper eyelid lift(blepharoplasty of the upper eye lid) becomes necessary when skin and tissue lose elasticity and the upper lids begin to droop. It is one of the most often performed cosmetic surgeries done on the face.
What happens during an upper eyekud kuft surgery?
The upper eyelids can be lifted with a small operation. The cuts made for upper eyelid lifts are done in the natural crease of the eyes so that the resulting scars remain invisible. Depending on the findings, excess skin, fat and muscle are removed or, if necessary, the musculature is tightened. By placing the incision scar in the natural fold of the upper eyelid, it is not visible after the incision heals.
Where does an upper eyelid lift operation take place?
The upper eyelid lift is a small operation that gives the face a rejuvenated and younger look, and in most cases it can be done as an ambulatory surgery with local anaesthesia. Eyelid swelling can last up to two weeks. Most patients are able to return to daily activities after a week.
The final results of an upper eyelid lift can be expected about three months after the operation.
