Code of Conduct for Operations
Please organise for a friend or partner to take you home safely after the procedure. For operations under general anaesthetic, you should be supervised for 24 hours after your operation.
Rules for general anaesthesia:
- Do not drink from midnight of the day of your operation, smoke or chew gum. If you do not adhere to this rule, the operation cannot be performed for safety reasons.
- Do not use moisturizers or other body care products.
- Remove all jewellery (earrings, rings, piercings etc.)
- If you have long fingernails, please remove at least one nail for pulse measurement
- Do not take any blood-thinning medications or medicines such as aspirin or ginger two weeks before the operation
- Please inform our staff of any medication you are taking
- Please note that smoking can massively impair wound healing

- A small breakfast before your procedure is allowed. Do not drink caffeinated drinks such as coffee or energy drinks.
- Do not use moisturizers or other body care products.
- Do not take any blood-thinning medications or medicines such as aspirin or ginger two weeks before the operation
- Please inform our staff of any medication you are taking
- Please note that smoking can massively impair wound healing
Packing Lists
For an overnight surgery:
- Towels, toothbrush, toothpaste
- Slippers and bathroom slippers
- Something to read
- For breast surgeries: large, comfortable clothing that are not pulled over the head. A support bra is provided by us. Additional support bras may be purchased from us at the M1 Schlössklinik or at your aftercare appointment.
For surgery without an overnight stay:
- Liposuction/gynecomastia: large, comfortable and dark clothes, a compression girdle
- Upper eyelid lift: large dark sunglasses
- Labiaplasty: comfortable underwear and large, comfortable clothing
